Another Christmas as the last unmarried in my family
byu/TheDeepBlueZ infunny

The holidays are a special time of year when families try to gather together. In addition to gift-giving, dinners, and quality time, these occasions are usually marked with group portraits. One man has documented what it looks and feels like to be the last unmarried person in the family in a series of Christmas photos.

Redditor TheDeepBlueZ posted a photo collage that stretches from 2016 to 2023. Each picture includes his siblings kissing their respective partners, while he poses as the only single person in the back-center of the composition (except in 2018, when he appears to be absent from the Christmas gathering). By mimicking the same composition each year, we are able to find the similarities and differences in each person. The couples change slightly in their appearances with each passing year, but TheDeepBlueZ always wears the same ironic expression as he tilts his head in the background. Whether he is annoyed or neutral about the situation is hard to tell. But he is definitely able to find the humor in it.

For many singles joining social gatherings during the holidays, this series is very relatable. But the most enjoyable aspect is definitely the Redditor's ability to poke fun at the situation. “This tradition is amazing, mostly because of your sense of humor!” one commenter writes. “Thanks for keeping us updated; and if marriage is something you want, I hope you will surprise us next year with a fiance.” While we don't know if marriage is something TheDeepBlueZ actually wants in his future, he has definitely made a tradition of his own with the yearly Christmas updates of him and his family.

Nearly 4o years ago, Wham! debuted their 1986 holiday single “Last Christmas.” The single came along with a black and white cover photo of musicians George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley, which has remained an iconic portrayal of the duo. Actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney—who jointly own UK soccer team Wrexham—appear to recreate this photo just in time for the holidays.

Though it's actually a Photoshop by a Wrexham fan named Todd Cross (aka DarthPunk69), it is masterfully executed and McElhenney couldn't help but share it with everyone. The It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia star shared a post on Instagram less than a week before Christmas. It included two of Cross' Photoshopped images of the actors styled in the likeness of the Wham! singers. These pictures were posted alongside the caption “WREXHAM!” and a Christmas tree emoji. The first features McElhenney as Ridgeley, with his hair spiked up, and Reynolds as Michael, with voluminous blond waves, posing in the same manner as the 1986 album cover. If you look closely, you can find the name of McElhenney and Reynolds' soccer team is included as an emblem in the top left-hand corner.

In the second image, the actors replicate the 1983 Wham! album Fantastic. Here, both men wear black leather jackets like 80s singers against a bright red backdrop, and McElhenney even sports a mustache like Ridgeley. The name Wrexham replaces Wham! in bold white text above the duo. In addition to being a bit of fun cosplay, these photos also celebrate the celebrities' rising soccer team and their docuseries Welcome to Wrexham. McElhenney's post was also shared ahead of the 7th anniversary of Michael's death, as the singer passed away on Christmas day in 2016 at the age of 53.

Scroll down to see a few more brilliantly Photoshopped recreations of Wham! album covers featuring McElhenney and Reynolds.

Just in time for the holidays, a soccer fan named Todd Cross decided to recreate the 1986 Wham! vinyl sleeve cover for “Last Christmas” by replacing George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley with the soccer team Wrexham's owners, Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds.

But this wasn't the first nor the last time he would Photoshop the comedic pair. He has recreated multiple Wham! album covers with them.

The 90s are having a comeback at the moment, from the fashion and style to the iconic era’s music. In fact, some people are looking back to their youth for inspiration, including Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The wrestler-turned-actor has one particular 90s picture of himself that has been widely shared in recent years. In the image, Johnson wears a simple yet somehow simultaneously flashy outfit that includes a thick silver chain and a fanny pack. For Christmas this year, the actor recreated the entire outfit—down to a wig of his 90s hairdo—and recorded a funny video he then shared on Instagram.

In the clip, Johnson walks down a hallway singing an altered version of Nat King Cole's”The Christmas Song.” “Chestnuts roasting on an open fire, ’90s Rock nipping at your nose,” the 51-year-old star sings. Casually lowering the camera to show all the details of his outfit, the actor presents how committed he is to the bit. He has it all—the turtleneck, the fanny pack, and the gold watch.

“I’m walking down the hall looking cool as f***; just take one look at my amazing clothes,” he continues to sing to the tune of the holiday song. Stopping alongside a Christmas tree, the camera pans down to catch him give a tap to his fanny pack before giving one of his signature smirks and blowing a kiss. “Merry Christmas, from your keepin’ it [100 emoji] friend. 90’s Rock,” Johnson captioned the clip.

The original image was taken sometime in the late 90s, when Johnson was first breaking out as a WWE wrestler. Ever since it resurfaced, it has become so beloved that it has amassed over 4 million likes. And while it could also have worked amazingly as a Halloween costume, the actor chose to turn this throwback into a holiday treat. After all, how many actors can say they cosplayed as themselves? To stay up to date with Johnson, you can follow him on Instagram.

Knowing the technical aspects of how to take a good portrait is just one part of a photographer's job. Directing a model is another one that requires just as much care. And while many know exactly how to give notes to get it right, one photographer likes to go the extra mile. By cheekily doing the pose first so his model can follow his steps, not only does he get the perfect shot, but he also creates a relaxed environment that makes the model feel at ease.

In a video shared on Reddit, an unnamed male photographer explores the city with a female model in search of the perfect background. He is dressed casually in a t-shirt and joggers, while she is elegantly decked in a traditional white outfit with a flowy skirt. It's this contrast that makes it so funny to see the photographer confidently striking a pose on camera. Meanwhile, the model observes attentively. The video then cuts to the final image, showing that the photographer's guidance—as well as his editing skills—did wonders for the shoot.

Additionally, having the photographer do the exact same poses shows that he values the model's work. Even if they look silly, his efforts show that, to him, getting that part right is as important as what he does behind the camera. In the end, maybe the best portraits are a team effort. As one Redditor points out, “The value of the art far outweighs the value of the shame and this guy shows it clear as day with the fantastic results.”

This photographer hilariously strikes a pose first so his model can follow his steps.

There are many traditions surrounding the holidays. For those who celebrate Christmas, putting up a tree and decorating the house are two of the most festive events. This season is also a popular time for many families and couples to take holiday portraits. While some may treat this as a formal event, there is a hilarious trend on TikTok that is inspiring people to bond in a different way—by taking awkward portraits at JCPenney.

The #jcpenneyphotoshoot involves bringing your loved ones to the department store and reenacting some of the cliches involved with holiday portraits. Many TikTokers arrived in ugly Christmas sweaters, others changed into flannel pajamas at the location, and certain groups strut into the studio in matching denim outfits. Once they get in front of the camera though, the real fun begins. In the videos, we see siblings and partners posing in several odd positions, like getting in a line and holding the other person's waist from the back, or holding someone's leg.

Although the images are funny enough on their own, the best part about this trend is seeing how much fun the participants have in doing it. Most TikTokers include behind-the-scenes snippets of them preparing for each photo, many times capturing people in the midst of laughter. Siblings joke about what their mom's reaction will be to seeing these intentionally strange portraits, and several friend groups prove that the trend can be a great bonding experience as well.

Huskies are well known for their chattiness. Whether it's through howls or barks, it definitely seems like these intelligent canines are trying to communicate with their humans. Apparently, some of them even try to mimic their owners' accents when they “use their words.” A husky in Italy has gone viral on TikTok for his hilarious videos in which he “talks” back to his humans with a distinctly Italian accent.

The account, called @aaronthehusky_, features short clips of the blue-and-brown eyed pup copying the rhythm of his human's voice through doggy sounds. While the husky doesn't make any discernible words through his vocalizations, it definitely appears as though he is trying to emulate his masters' way of speaking—perhaps in hopes that he will be better understood.

According to a study conducted in the UK, dogs copying their humans' regional accents is a relatively common occurrence. People from across the country were asked to record their dogs' barks and growls and submit them to a panel, and researches found variations from area to area. Dog behaviorist Tracey Gudgeon proposes that canines mimic the tone and pitch of their owners' voices as a way of bonding. For instance, Scottish dogs were found to have a “rolling” bark, similar to the regional accent.

So if the Italian husky has picked up his humans' musical accent, it is very likely that your pup sounds like you too.

In-flight announcements are vital to keep everyone safe, but they’re also usually monotone. They can be even more boring for flight attendants, who may repeat them several times a day. As a way to keep spirits up, a Southwest crew member put his talents to use and gave the safety instructions a twist. A viral video shows flight attendant Zach Haumesser making an announcement imitating the voices of many Looney Tunes characters.

The clip, first taken in 2016, shows Haumesser sitting at the front of the plane and holding the intercom. Upon landing in Chicago, he addresses the passengers one last time. “Be vewy, vewy quiet, we have weached your destination,” Haumesser says in his best Elmer Fudd voice. Then, channeling his inner Bugs Bunny, he advises the travelers to carefully remove the luggage from the overhead bins. “You wouldn’t wanna get a bump on the noggin,” he says.

Haumesser also nails the voices of Daffy Duck, Foghorn Leghorn, Yosemite Sam, Sylvester the Cat, Tweety Bird, the Tasmanian Devil, and Porky Pig, before sending everyone off with the Roadrunner's famous “Beep Beep” sound. Amazed by his abilities, both his crewmates and the passengers gave him a round of applause.

While many viewers have felt like Haumesser is too big of a talent to only get to shine inside a plane, being a flight attendant is only his day job. Not only is Haumesser a skilled voice actor, but he is also a puppeteer, most notably having taken the role of Audrey 2 in many productions of The Little Shop of Horrors. Even better, sometimes his two passions combine—like when he did an in-flight announcement with the help of a Kermit the Frog puppet. You can watch his famous Looney Tunes announcement video below.

Ryan Reynolds Teams Up With Travis Kelce for Funny Photoshop of Blake Lively and Taylor Swift

Beyoncé's Renaissance film premiere brought together many luminaries. Among the A-listers in attendance were Taylor Swift and Blake Lively, who have been friends for many years. The pair decided to mark the event with a striking photograph that caught the attention of fans, the media, and even a couple of pranksters. One of the latter decided to give this image a funny twist, photoshopping the faces of the women’s respective partners—Travis Kelce and Ryan Reynolds—over theirs. Reynolds, no stranger to trolling his wife, saw an opportunity to poke some fun at her by sharing the altered version.

The original image was posted by Swift to Instagram among other shots taken by photographers Mason Poole and Kevin Mazur. In the picture, two friends embrace each other while sitting on a blue velvet couch, with Lively daringly placing her hand on Swift's thigh. The alluring photograph was then edited by a creator known as karthiknjartist. A long-time fan of Reynolds and the superhero franchises he has starred in, this is far from the first cheeky edit he has posted.

More so, karthiknjartist created other funny versions of Lively and Swift's image, including one starring Deadpool and Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, and another one with Jason Momoa in Lively's place, who doesn't look entirely out of place given his long, luscious hair.  Yet the version that caught Reynolds' eye was the one starring him and his friend's football beau. He then posted it to his Instagram story with the caption: “I feel like I should remember this.”

Reynolds and Lively are longtime friends of Swift, with Lively even directing a music video for the singer. There is also speculation about Swift joining Reynolds on Deadpool 3 as the character Dazzler. And while Kelce is relatively new to the friend group, he is known for displaying his sense of humor on New Heights, the podcast he hosts with his brother Jason. With a little luck, we may soon see a funny image of this caliber starring the two men, no Photoshop needed.

National Park Service’s Tweets Are So Funny That You’ll Learn About Nature Without Noticing

Social media allows anyone to share their personality, but some accounts are unexpectedly hilarious. Thanks to savvy social media managers, there are some brands that have shown themselves to be quite entertaining and at times sassy. The latest to join the ranks of clever social media accounts is the National Park Service (NPS). Not only does the person behind this account keep people updated in real time, but they are also building engagement in a heartfelt manner. The wonderfully witty content is at times silly but can also be highly informative.

Earlier this year, the NPS gained anttention after telling people to “never push a slower friend in a bear attack…even if you feel the friendship has run its course.” This clever way to make people aware of the precautions they needed to have during the bear season is just a sliver of their endless humor, envisioned by social media specialist Matt Turner.

Thousands of different species call the National Parks home, which means that anyone can get their chance in the spotlight. For example, the NPS has shared how the dread of Monday weighs across the animal world, whether you're a bear or a mink. Of course, there are also seasonal stars, like an intimidating Thanksgiving turkey.
